Pearlcrest Care began with a simple frustration.

The homecare sector does important work, some of the most important work there is. And yet it is routinely undervalued, understaffed, and underinvested. The people who wash, dress, and support some of the most vulnerable people in our society are too often paid as little as the law allows, given contracts that offer no security, and left to manage on their own.

The consequences show up in care. High turnover means unfamiliar faces. Overstretched rotas mean rushed visits. Inadequate training means missed signs and avoidable problems.

We decided to try to build something better.

Not by finding a shortcut. Not by promising things we cannot deliver. But by being deliberate about every decision: who we recruit, how we train them, how we treat them, and how we hold ourselves accountable.

We chose Surrey because we wanted to start somewhere we could genuinely become part of the community. We are registering with the CQC because we are serious about doing this properly. And we named the organisation Pearlcrest Care because that is the standard we are trying to reach.

We are at the beginning. But we know where we are going.
